Using and navigating the Boyne Valley website:
To access the information contained on the Boyne Valley website please note the following simple pointers:
- This site is best viewed at a resolution of 1024 by 768 or higher. To achieve this, right click on the 'Desktop', in the resulting menu left click 'Properties', then the 'Settings' tab. Move the slider to adjust your screen resolution or area.
- The white words in capitalised text ('HOME' and 'MAPS' for example) at the top and bottom of the Awoonga Dam image positioned at the top of each page, are 'main menus' to navigate the site.
- If, when you place your mouse pointer over these words, no 'drop down' menu appears, click the word. If a drop down menu appears you are required to make a further, more specific selection regarding the information you want to view by moving your mouse pointer over the correct option and clicking once. If no suitable option appears, simply move your mouse pointer to another location.
- All main menus on the site contain the same options and can be used from any page in the site to move to any other section in the manner described above.
- Text that appears green and underlined on any page is an active link, and can be clicked to access more information relevant to the material you are already reading.
- On pages that have a lot of information about various aspects of the group/event etc you are viewing, a 'page navigation' list will appear on the right of the site. Please click any of the items in these lists with your mouse and the page will jump as close as possible to that information.
- Various images around the site are also links and can be recognised when your mouse cursor changes to a pointing hand when placed over them.
