National Parks
Camping is allowed in the National Parks, with permits needed.
Fishing
The best place to camp when fishing the Awoonga Dam, is the Boynedale Bush Camp. Barbeque, picnic and toilet facilities are available.
No bookings or fees are required. There is plenty of room. There is no potable water, so campers are strongly advised to bring their own water supply. Camping is allowed only in the Boynedale Bush Camp area allocated for camping, and not the banks of the river. Campers are permitted to stay for up to 7 days. Basic boat access is provided nearby.
Excellent fishing spots can be found along the full length of the Boyne River.
