Camping

The Boyne Valley attracts many caravaners & campers visiting the National Parks, Events, Fishing, or just seeking a quiet place not far off the beaten track.

Camping is allowed in the National Parks, with permits needed in some of the parks.

The best place to camp when fishing, is the Boynedale Bush Camp, overlooking the Awoonga Dam headwaters. Barbeque, picnic and toilet facilities are available.

No bookings or fees are required. There is plenty of room.
There is no potable water, so campers are strongly advised to bring their own water supply.
Camping is allowed only in the Boynedale Bush Camp area allocated for camping, and not the banks of the river.
Campers are permitted to stay for up to 7 days.
Basic boat access is provided nearby.

Campers and Caravaners are welcome at the Ubobo Recreation Grounds with toilet and shower facilities available at the Discovery Centre. Toilets are also available at the Memorial Hall.

The nearest powered caravan parks are at Calliope, Miriam Vale (30 - 45 minutes drive from the centre of the Valley) or Benaraby, at the Awoonga Dam wall.
